Golfshot: Golf GPS iPhone App Review

Description:

I just went golfing and boy, i could have really used this app.  The game of golf is full of challenges as there are hazards and different styles of holes that keep you challenged throughout the nation.  Most golfers have dialed in the distance that they can hit a certain club.  For example, a pro golfer can hit a 7 iron anywhere from 150 to 250 yards.  If you know the distance away from the pin that you are, it could help you to know which club to select. Well this is possible with the new Golfshot: Golf GPS for the iphone.

This app has access to over 33,000 golf courses with no subscription or annual fee.  The app is simple as you whip it out on your phone and where ever you are standing, the app will tell you how many yards you are away from the pin.  If you have this information, it is much easier to know what to hit.  Most fancy courses have a GPS unit in the cart that tells you how far away you are from the hole so you know which club to hit with.  Well now you don’t need the fancy cart as you can use your phone with just as much ease or even easier.

Features:

  • This app works with over 33,000 courses that are nation wide, so the chances of finding a course this does not work with is very slim.
  • GPS rangefinder with large numbers, front, center, and back of green and up to 40 points per hole
  • GP aerial view with the touch point technology to use imagery to get a better idea of exactly how far you are from the pin.

  • Track your distance for any shot so you can get better and know exactly how hard you are hitting your clubs.
