3 Cubed Music Player Android App Review

Description:

The Android comes with a basic music player that has the features that allow you to play a song and make it your ring tone.  The problem is that those features are all that original app comes with.  If you want a little bit more fun of an experience listening to your music, the easiest way to do this is with the Free app called 3 Cubed Music Player which is available for the Android Phone platform.

This app gives a 3d twist to a music player for the Android so that you can play the music in portrait or landscape mode.  This music player supports all the features for listening to music on your phone, which includes standard player, playlists, and shuffle.  There are also a few more abilities to grab album cover art, match concert events of artists in your music library with the concerts app extension.  This is a really cool way to display your music and visually theme it to a 3d format. There are four main viewing modes which allow you to swipe in each direction,two column scrolling wall, boring shows text only, morph flow is the way the 3d comes into play by flipping the album covers vertically in a 3d fashion while listening.

Features:

• This app packs a great music player with a fun 3d way to view your music and watch it literally come to life.

• packs the 3d cubed interface in which you can swipe in any direction to flip through albums
• wall presents albums in a two columned scrolling wall
• boring shows text only albums
• morph flow is somewhat similar to the 3d launder on the Nexus One phones where it flips the album covers vertically

The only issue we have with this app is that the cubed symbol for the name makes it impossible to find in the android market to download.  You almost have to type in the words cubed music player to find it in the marketplace.  This really is the only issue we have with the app, but other than that, the app works very well and is a great fun way to listen to music and make it look really cool on your phone to show your fiends and family.

Dot 2 Android App Review

Description:

There is finally another game that lives up to it’s first predecessor.  The Dot 2 game is a sequal to the original dot game.  Dot 2 for the android is fantastically fun and does a great job keeping you interested.  The game play is all 3d and uses the accelerometer engine in the Android platform.  Fly through a 3d worlds of a main plane that has orange cones.  You have a timer and your ball that you guide around get smaller over time unless you run over the blue dots that are laid out on the plane.  If you get the blue dots, your dot grows bigger and you can go longer without eating blue dots before you disappear and die.  The game point is to eat as many blue dots as possible without hitting the cones for the longest time as you can.  Once you hit an orange cone or your dot gets small and dies, you lose the game.

The 3d accelerometer is fluid and that game is in portrait mode on the phone.  The controls are very simple as you just tilt the phone from one side to the other to navigate the blue dot as the plane moves and you roll forward.  Thats really all you need to know for the controls.  Its cool, fun challenging, and an addictive accelerometer game that will keep you coming back from more play over and over again.  Its the perfect way to waste time and have fun all at the same time.

• The point of the game is to move your white dot over the blue dots while avoiding the orange cones
• if you hit an orange cone or if your white dot runs out of life, you lose
• the point is to go the longest possible time that you can without hitting an orange cone or by not letting your white dot run out of life.

This is a great way to waste some time while at the same time having a lot of fun.  This game really uses the 3d engine very well as it looks great and is fluid and not laggy.  The game does lack a little in that it almost needs different levels that look different to keep it more interesting.  but it is fun nonetheless.

CashLog Android App review

Description:

Cashlog is a very good way to log your cash expenses and keep track of them.  Each entry is assigned to a user defined group.  You can view the history graph and balance the table of any group.  The features have an added type of history graph as well as a pie chart.  Most people are spenders these days and don’t have a clue where their money goes.  Instead of always wondering where this money has disappeared to, you can have a great idea by utilizing the features and functions of this app for the android.

The interface is easy to use and you can create different categories such as food, gas, movies, and anything else that you spend your money on.  Once you have entered your categories you just pick the category and enter the purchase expense.  The app totals up all of your expenses per category and shows them to you on a nice pie chart to give you a visual representation of where the money went.  This helps you to see the balance of money and where you need  to make cuts.  Its a great way to see what you overspend on and where you spend too little.

If you want to end the harming traditions of spending your money and not knowing where it is going, this is the app for you.  The app shows you the current total for the current month to show you how much you have spent in a designated category.  This is great when you have a paycheck coming up so that you can better budget your money and use it on things that really matter or on things that you really need.  This is a great way to help you not to spend money as you can look at the app and see that you have already spent too much money in a category and need to save it or spend it in a different category.

Description:

TuneRemote is a great app for the Android phone platform that allows you to control your DACP compatible desktop or laptop computer’s media player.  The media players that can be controlled really can be any such as itunes or media player on Windows.  The app easily lets you browse your albums, songs, including the ability to fully text search from a distance away from the computer.

How does this app fit in with every day situations?   A great way is if you are hosting a party and your media server is in a different room that is playing the music you have saved on your computer.  Instead of having to end your conversation with friends and go into the other room to change the song, you can simply pull up your phone and change it on the fly.  Another thing that is great about this is if you hate the media player on your computer.  Many people hate itunes, so if you are one of them, you can just use Tunesremote to help you change and swap around your music instead of using the media players on your computer or media servers.

• can run int he back ground while doing other things on your phone

The only gripe we have with this app is that it should allow you to play the music through the phone speakers.  That would be totally amazing, but how much can we really ask for right?  This app in and of itself is a great solution to be able to remotely access and play and change your playlists and songs on itunes while using your non apple device.  Its genius at its best and really works well to make you the ultimate music wizard when it comes to hosting parties or just being lazy and not wanting to walk to your computer to change the tunes.

Description:

Ok, have you ever made a call to someone you didn’t want to when you were drunk?  Let me paint a picture for you.  You are at a friends party having a great time and you whip out you phone to call your best friend to come on over and participate in the fun.  Well since your a bit hammered, you accidentally call your boss in the middle of the night instead of your friend.  Whoops, very embarrassing right?  Well now you don’t ever have to even be in this type of predicament again as you can have an app that keeps this from happening.  The app is called drunkblocker for the Android phone platform and it has a very simple function.  It blocks the people that you can’t call while you are drunk.

The app is simple to use and allows you to check off all the contacts you have in your phone that you DONT want to be able to call when you are drunk.  You simply just set a time of the day that you usually party and the app does not allow you to call these people during this time frame.  You can set any time of the day you want and when party time happens, the phone app programs automatically activates.

If you really want to contact these people, the app gives you instructions on how to bypass  it.  However, if you are drunk you probably won’t have the mental capacity to follow along so the app is a perfect solution to stopping drunk calls.
